As it’s name implies this coast is perfect for whale watching due to the large number of migratory whales that can be seen. There are several whale and dolphin watching adventures to be found. This is only the beginning though. Other water sports in close proximity include; sport fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, diving, surfing and scuba diving. The area provides such biodiversity that there is something for everyone. Canopy tours, tree-climbing adventures, hiking, and bird-watching can all be found. For those horse lovers the horseback ride to Nauyaca Waterfalls is close by and provides breathtaking scenery. A visit to this coast is certainly not complete until you’ve visited the Whale’s Tail and walked out to the end of the peninsula that actually is in the shape of a whale’s tail.
